Fans of “Babylon 5” are mourning the loss of one of the show’s most beloved actors

Rest in peace, Jerry Doyle.

TMZ reports that the actor, who is best known for his role in “Babylon 5,” died Wednesday. He was 60 years old.

Police were called to Doyle’s Las Vegas home yesterday after he was found unresponsive. At this time, it is unclear how actor and political talk show host died. The coroner is working on a autopsy but, no foul play is suspected.

Doyle dazzled “Babylon 5” fans as hard-hitting security officer Michael Garibaldi from 1994 to 1998. Doyle reprised his role in the 1999 TV movie “Babylon 5: A Call to Arms.” He was married to actress Andrea Thompson from 1995 to 1997; they met on the show.

After leaving “Babylon 5,” Doyle went on to appear on several television shows, including, “Jag,” “NYPD Blue” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

In 2013, he founded EpicTimes, a media platform, and started his political talk show, “The Jerry Doyle Show,” which airs on weekday afternoons.

On Thursday, Doyle’s family tweeted the news to fans from his personal Twitter account.

“The family of Jerry Doyle is sad to announce Jerry’s passing. The cause of death is unknown at this time.”

Fans of “Babylon 5” and “The Jerry Doyle Show” and friends of Doyle took to Twitter with their condolences and support for the family during this difficult time.

A radio and television legend that the world lost too soon. He will be missed.
