Chelsea Clinton introduced her mother at the DNC and expressed her love with this sincere speech

Chelsea Clinton gave a speech introducing her mother, Hillary Clinton, as her party’s nominee at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Thursday night.

Chelsea’s speech focused on her relationship with her mother.

“I’m here as a proud American, proud Democrat, and proud mother […] and tonight in particular, a very proud daughter.”

She talked about her daughter, Charlotte, and what she loves, especially her grandma, Hillary. She then went on to discuss her 5 1/2-week-old son, Aiden.

Chelsea reflected on her childhood memories and the wonderful times she spent with her mother.

“She was always, always there for me,” Chelsea said. “Every soccer game. Every softball game.”

Chelsea discussed notes her mother would leave for her. “I treasured each and every one of those notes.”

She mentioned subjects her parents care about, including education and healthcare. Chelsea also discussed the way her parents raised her, saying she never worried about anything. She reflected on the many things her mother taught her.

“There’s something else my mother taught me: Public service is about service,” she said.

“That feeling of being valued and loved — that’s what my mom wants for every child. It is the calling of her life.”

“I am so grateful to be her daughter. She makes me proud every single day.”

Chelsea gave a heartfelt message to her mother: “Mom, Grandma would be so, so proud of you tonight.”

“This November, I’m voting for a woman who is my role model as a mother and as an advocate.”

“This is the story of my mother, Hillary Clinton,” Chelsea said as she introduced her mother.

In July 2010, Chelsea married her longtime boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky at a private ceremony in Rhinebeck, New York.
