Spicer Admitted Melissa McCarthy’s Impression Is ‘Kind of Funny’

While former White House mouthpiece Sean Spicer may not be gracing television as a dream Dancing with the Stars contestant anytime soon, he did decide to stop by Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show for a post-Trump employment debrief on Wednesday night.

According to the New York Times, the interview was the first time Spicer’s spoken publicly since resigning his White House post this past summer. “He survived one of the worst jobs ever and is free at last to speak about it,” Kimmel said before bringing Spicey out.

But Spicer mostly just towed the party line during the interview, sticking by his combative stance against the media and refusing to speak about Trump as anything other than “a good man that really cares about this country”—a good man whose Twitter habits did test Spicer’s patience and REM cycle, though.

“Did he ever run a tweet by you before tweeting it?” Kimmel asked.

“Maybe once or twice,” said Spicer. “There were times when you might have wanted to go to bed, and you’d say, ‘OK, this is going to be a little longer night.’ Or you would get up and that was the first thing.”

The majority of the interview was full of quips and softball questions, and Kimmel even decided to grill Spicer on one mystery the American public has likely never once wondered: Has Sean Spicer ever seen Trump in the nude?

“Why is he so concerned with size?” Kimmel asked, referring to that whole inauguration crowd debacle. “Have you ever seen the president naked?”

According to the former press secretary: Trump’s peen, never seen. “I have not,” Spicer replied.

The pair also discussed Melissa McCarthy’s now-Emmy-winning portrayal of Spicer on Saturday Night Live, which Spicer admitted was “kind of funny,” though Trump didn’t exactly share the feeling. “Uh, I don’t think he found as much humor [in it] as others.”
