In a video that is guaranteed to restore your faith in humanity, if only for a while, Maryland men on the scene of ridiculous flooding in Ellicott City didn’t hesitate to act when they saw a woman behind the wheel of her car floating down Main St.

The men formed a human chain and pulled the woman to safety Saturday night.

Sarah Arditti, a local business owner, uploaded the video to Facebook filmed her husband showing these guys bringing the woman to safety.

Here’s what she wrote about it on Facebook:

Unbelievable video shot by my husband Dave during the flood as he and several other men rescue a woman from her car floating down Main St right in front of our business, Still Life Gallery at about 8:30pm July 30th. Dave was at the top of the human chain holding the next man’s hand and filming with the other. The man who got washed away was incredibly lucky.

You can hear the men yelling “Get out, get out” and “You’re not going to make it!”

The woman behind the wheel can be heard replying “I can’t get out.”

“You have to,” a man responds. Thankfully, she was successfully pulled to safety, but unfortunately for Ellicott City, the flooding has left a lasting mark on the community.
