Donald Trump’s son believes that Russia thinks the USA is weak and says the DNC hack proved it

In an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning, Eric Trump, son of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, spoke of allegations that his father worked with the Russian government to help take down the Democratic National Committee and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Eric Trump seemed to buy into the notion that a recent hack of the DNC, which showed favoritism toward Clinton and led to the resignation of chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), was the work of Russian hackers.

“Russia has so little respect for our country, that wasn’t the case under Reagan, that wasn’t the case after the Cold War, where they had tremendous respect,” Trump explained.

“They view [President Barack] Obama and they view Hillary as totally weak, ineffective leaders.”

While he acknowledged the possibility of Russia’s involvement in the hack, Trump expressed that such nonsense would never happen during a Trump presidency.

“Their willingness to go in, if it was in fact Russia…to hack a major political party…the political party of the President of the United States shows the level of disrespect they have for America,” Trump said.

“My father will change that, and he will change that very, very quickly.”
